Six new board members bring added experience and leadership.
Family Services of Metro Orlando welcomes five new members to its Board of Directors. St. Cloud Council Member and mayoral candidate Jay Polachek was voted onto the board on October 2, 2009. Erica Slater Thompson, a pharmacy director with South Lake Hospital, received her appointment to the board on December 2, 2009.
Other additions followed the recent merger between Family Services of Metro Orlando and the Community Service Center of Central Florida (CSC), which took place on December 1, 2009. Previously, all four members served on the CSC’s Board of Directors: Sarah Lindquist, an associate at Zimmerman, Kiser, Sutcliffe, P.A., Greg Mainguth, an asset resolution manager at RBC Bank, Diane Summers, a private client manager at the U.S. Trust/Bank of America and Melinda Tedder, an accounts payable manager at Darden Restaurants. These new members were inducted January 6, 2010.
“We are proud to welcome our new members of the Board,” said Family Service of Metro Orlando CEO Greg Kurth. “Their presence will provide better opportunities to address the growing needs of children and families in Orange and Osceola counties.”
