Families in Osceola County receive help getting back into their homes.
This program aims to assist families who are homeless or who are at-risk for becoming homeless. In particular, the program focuses on reducing the number of families living in motels in the West 192 tourist corridor of Osceola County. Families who are currently utilizing a motel as their primary residence will receive priority consideration for the program and case management support in order to break the cycle of homelessness they face. Together with Lania Crouch, Human Services Manager for Osceola County Government, we have created this program as the first partnership in our region between a child welfare organization and a governmental Department of Housing and Human Services.
